Submitting claims electronically can improve cash cycle.

SJHH encourages providers to submit claims electronically, whether you have a small or large practice. Submitting claims electronically can improve cash flow. Office Ally is SJHH's preferred gateway for electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions. SJHH providers can use the Office Ally’s Online Tools as a NO-COST SOLUTION for submitting claims electronically.

Office Ally has a variety of Online Tools that can help your office turn-around claims faster and reduce claim denials by easily and quickly fixing claim edits.

To register for the Web portal, visit www.OfficeAlly.com and click “Products/Services” and then "Downloadable Forms" or you can click here to download the authorization form.

When submitting electronic claims through Office Ally use SJHH’s payer id code: STJOE

Time frames for claim submission

Please note the following time frames for submitting Medicare Advantage and commercial claims:

Medicare Advantage: Claims must be submitted within one calendar year from the date of service for non-contracted providers.

  • 90 days from the date of service for contracted providers.

Commercial: Claims must be submitted within the time stipulated in the provider agreement or the applicable state law. Generally, these claims must be submitted within:

  • 90 days from the date of service for contracted providers.
  • 180 days from the date of service for non-contracted providers.

 

Checking claim status online

Providers can check the status of submitted claims on the SJHH's Web portal (registration required).

  • For access to SJHH’s secure provider portal click on the "Register Now as a new user" link.
